Implementation of presentational device with Raspberry Pi
Beránek, Ondřej ; Kovář, Jiří (referee) ; Andrš, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and subsequent implementation of a presentational device with Raspberry Pi using free software. The theoretical part of this thesis includes an analysis of available commercial solutions, specification of requirements, testing free operating systems and assessment of their suitability for the purpose. The practical part of this thesis is focused on the implementation of a presentational device with the most suitable free system and on the test of this final solution. The aim of the thesis is to create a maintenance-free presentational device with easy remote access.
Electronic notice board LCD
Chmelař, Petr ; Franek, Lešek (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This paper focuse at market research with digital signages, kiosks, and the subsequent suggestion directed on the concept of the new system and its hardware parts and software. The aim of this work is grounded on creating the concept of electronic boards, which is derived from the market research. The concept of the system is describing the principle of functioning of the digital signage, possibilities of controlling and system administration itself. The suggestion of the hardware part of the system contains the selection of appropriate mechanism for realization of the software part of the system and the proposal of controlling and signaling aspects, which are suitable for communication with users.

Those trends include different means of goods handover (delivery, pickup or different self-service models), personalization and customization, natural language communication, virtual and augmented reality or robotization. The aim of the thesis is to define the direction in which retail will later evolve and what steps traditional retailers have to take in order to stay competitive.
